'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' and everything we know so far...

The last few days has seen a lot casting news drop surrounding the upcoming eighth season of American Horror Story. So much news, we thought it's best to update you on everything we know so far.

Titled Apocalypse, it's been announced as a crossover between Murder House (season one) and Coven (season three), and we were jumping with joy when we heard Jessica Lange would be returning to the series to reprise her season one role of Constance Langdon.

Yesterday the casting excitement didn't stop there, with Ryan Murphy further tweeting a list of AHS actresses would also be returning: Taissa Farmiga, Gabourey Sidibe, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy and Stevie Nicks. Since they all appeared in Coven together, speculation has already kicked off as to whether they would be reprising their previous roles. As you may recall the iconic Nicks appeared near the end of Coven playing a fictional witch-version of herself. The opening sequence of the finale where she performed "Seven Wonders" had us gagging, we loved it!

The final episode also saw Lily Rabe's beloved character Misty Day tragically killed off being faced with an eternity dissecting frogs, while Conroy's Myrtle met a fiery demise. Then during the fifth season (Hotel), Gabourey Sidibe's Queenie made an appearance and was murdered in the very same episode. Out of the actresses, Murphy tweeted, it's only Nicks and Farminga's Zoe that are still alive in series.

There is a possibility that both Conroy and Rabe may reprise their roles from Murder House, while the others might play entirely new characters. I guess we're just going to have to wait and see. In the meantime here's a list of everything we know so far about the casting surrounding Apocalypse.
