The nominees for for the 76th Golden Globes Awards have been announced and there's plenty to be excited about!
It comes as no surprise that Lady Gaga has been nominated for A Star Is Born, with the film receiving a total of five nominations, we're sure it's going to clean up on awards night!
Our very own out gay pop star, Troye Sivan is up Best Original Song for a Motion Picture. In addition to acting in the gay conversion therapy drama, Boy Erased, he wrote and performed "Revelation" for the film's soundtrack. The nomination sees him going up against Lady Gaga in that category, and as much as we love our Mother Monster, it would be amazing to see him take the award.
Fans of Ryan Murphy's groundbreaking drama Pose also have a reason to celebrate. The series has been nominated for Best Television Series for Drama, while Billy Porter has been nominated for Best Performance by an Actor In A Television Series for his role as Pray Tell. We would have loved to have seen Pose chosen for more, but there's no denying these are two amazing wins for queer storytelling in Hollywood!
We know who we'll be rooting for when the awards night comes around on January 6.
