Out singer Adam Lambert has launched a new foundation aiming to support LGBTQ+ human rights.

The Feel Something Foundation (FSF) was founded by the former American Idol contestant and Queen frontman back in 2019 as a result of a career that had seen the singer travelling the world and being made aware of the struggles that LGBTQ+ people still face across the globe.

The Feel Something Foundation goal is to ensure support is given to the numerous issues that continue to affect LGBTQ+ people today.

Lambert plans to achieve this through working with several charities that have a mission or project that directly focuses on impacting the LGBTQ+ community in areas of education and the arts, homelessness, suicide prevention, and mental health.

"I've worked with some amazing LGBTQ+ organisations and charities over the years," Lambert tells Attitude Magazine.

"The Feel Something Foundation will shine a light and support existing charities, whose work is pivotal in empowering the community."

One of the foundation's goals is also wanting to remove the phrase 'coming out' as a term used to define someone simply being themselves.

Lily Tomlin's quote, 'I always wondered why somebody doesn't do something about that. Then I realized I was somebody,' comes to mind. It's great to see Lambert using his celebrity status as a way to create change, and we applaud him for it!

As more details of the foundation comes to light, we'll keep you updated. In the meantime you can follow all thing Adam Lambert via his Twitter.
