Stop the press! We're getting more Baby Yoda sooner than expected.

Oh yeah, and also The Mandalorian as well. But let's be honest, we can't get enough of Baby Yoda!

The hit Disney+ original The Mandalorian season two is officially confirmed for an October 2020 release date. Star Wars' first leap into live-action television has proved to be a massive hit. Thankfully Lucasfilm seemed to be aware of what they had before the series became a phenomenon, as they began working on season two back in July of 2019.

With Disney not releasing any new Star Wars flicks until December 2020, at least The Mandalorian will fill the void in alongside the Cassian Andor and Obi-Wan Kenobi series. The latter seems to be running into a few production struggles, so it will be interesting to see if that series will ever see the light of day.

During Disney's investors call, CEO Bob Iger revealed The Mandalorian would be returning in October. While an exact date is yet to be revealed, fans can at least begin counting down the months until we are treated with new episodes of the series.

Details regarding the sophomore season are slim, but what we do know is that it will reportedly feature some original trilogy characters and will give villain Moff Gideon a more significant role. However, we really want to find out more about Baby Yoda. At least his name so people can stop calling him by the technically incorrect title of Baby Yoda. Sorry The Child just doesn't have the same ring to it
