Some people watch the Super Bowl because they enjoy American Football. Some watch it because they enjoy watching a bunch of hunks tackling each other and playing with a ball. Being a pop culture addict, I watch it mainly for the movie trailers... and of course the occasional perve. Hey, at least I'm honest.

However, this year's Super Bowl LIV will be a little different with many of its adds promoting diversity. For the first time in its history, there is more LGBTQ+ representation than ever before.

Of course, there have been some rather close-minded religious groups petitioning to prevent some of the commercials airing. One in particular featuring drag queens has come under fire by One Million Moms. As much as they like to scream "what about the children?" they rarely achieve anything, other than sounding like a bunch of crazies.

"Unfortunately for the anti-LGBTQ activists, this year will mark the most diverse and LGBTQ-inclusive advertising seen during the Super Bowl in its history," GLAAD reports.

This year out of the 77 commercials set to air, there are 8 LGBTQ+ inclusive commercials by brands that are worth spending our pink dollars with.

Amazon

Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi wondering what life was like before Alexa is probably one of the funniest commercials set to air this year.

Pop-Tarts

The breakfast treats you just can't get enough of, features Queer Eye's openly nonbinary star, Jonathan Van Ness sharing his fabulousness for Pop-Tarts Pretzel. Probably the campest ad you will see this year, and of course, his hair is looking fabulous as always!

Sabra

Much to the dismay of 100 million Moms, Drag Race stars Miz Cracker and Kim Chi star in this hummus commercial being the first Super Bowl ad to feature multiple drag Queens.

Doritos

For the love of Doritos new flavour Cool Ranch, Grammy winner and out rapper Lil Nas X has an "Old Town Road" dance-off with A Star Is Born's Sam Elliot.

Microsoft

Mircosoft Surface's "Be the One" campaign puts the spotlight on Katie Sowers, the offensive assistant coach for the San Francisco 49ers, who is making history this year being not only the first woman but also the first openly LGBTQ+ person to coach in the Super Bowl.

TurboTax

Promoting TurboTax's online tax prep service. Not only does the commercial features trans actresses Isis King from When They See Us and Hustlers' Trace Lysette, but it also includes members of America's ballroom community for which we give tens across the board

Olay

Olay takes inspiration from NASA's first all-female spacewalk for their #MakeSpaceForWoman campaign featuring the hilarious bisexual comedian Lilly Singh.

Budweiser

Budweiser makes a toast to the U.S women's national soccer team players and World Cup champions Ali Krieger and Ashlyn Harris, who married each other last year.
