On Saturday evening the dome of Brisbane's City Hall glowed rainbow as the 57th annual Queens Ball Awards were celebrated underneath. Each year the Queens Ball Awards recognises and honours the individuals, organisations, and events that have contributed to Queensland's beautiful and diverse LGBTI community.
This year was no different. Over a dozen members of our community had their outstanding achievements celebrated in front of the sell-out event. Without further ado, the winners of the 57th annual Queens Ball Awards are as follows.

Intersex Activist of the Year: Alex David
First Nations Leadership and Engagement Award: Aunty Dawn Daylight.
Ally of the Year: Shelley Argent

Media Personality of the Year: Michael James
DJ of the Year: DJ Merlin
Drag Performer of the Year: Candy Surprise

Licensed Venue of the Year: The Sportsman Hotel
