Netflix has released the first teaser for Stranger Things 4, and it features the surprise reappearance of a familiar face.

Like teasers for previous seasons, it doesn't reveal too many details about the upcoming season, but it does show that the action will be going far beyond the borders of Hawkins, Indiana. To Russia, to be exact.

In the teaser, we see a group of workers building a railroad somewhere in Russia. The big reveal takes place in the closing seconds with the revelation that Chief Jim Hopper played by David Harbour didn't perish at the end of last season and is very much alive.

In the post-credit sequence of last season's finale, it was also revealed that the Russians had a Demogorgon of their own, and as previously speculated, they have Hopper captive as well.

Netflix hasn't revealed a release date for season 4 of Stranger Things, but considering they've started their marketing campaign already, it's probably not far off.
