Love it or hate it, but the 1996 cult classic The Craft is getting a reboot. Now we finally know who will putting a spell on a whole new generation starring as the film's four witches.

The original starred Neve Campbell, Fairuza Balk, Robin Tunney, and Rachel True as a group of high school outcasts who experiment with witchcraft. Together, the four soon realise they have incredible untapped power, that can make their dreams a reality but also get revenge on their classmates. With great power, comes great responsibility. It isn't long before the powers that the four have unleashed begin to take on negative effects and everything begins to fall apart for the four girls.

Now Zoe Lister-Jones has taken on the task of reimagining the hit film for a new generation. If the just-announced cast is anything to go by, we're in for a treat.

The reboot will follow a new generation of girls with the first female lead announced being that of Cailee Spaeny. Previously seen in Bad Times at the El Royale and Pacific Rim: Uprising she will star as Hannah who befriends three other fellow outcasts at her high school. Now joining Spaeny, is Lovie Simon (Greenleaf), Gideon Adlon (Blockers and The Society), and up and coming transgender actress and Pose cast member Zoey Luna.

Talk about a diverse cast! We're yet to get confirmation as to who the others will be playing, what we do know is the film will be even more female-centric than its predecessor. Andrew Fleming who directed the 1996 film and is executive coproducing the series previously told The Huffington Post, "It's not so much a remake. It's sort of saying young women exploring their power, what would that be like right now? Obviously, it's an incredibly relevant, exciting subject…a new group of girls, much more of this era, who begin some explorations with power that they don't understand."

It's yet to be seen whether the reboot will recapture that spirit and magic that made the original such a hit. With an already terrific cast, the film does seem like it's going in the right direction. But if not, we always have the iconic original.
