We've been burned time and time again in regards to the possibility of a Spice Girls reunion. But finally, it's official. That's right the girls are reuniting for a special stadium tour. There is a catch. There will only be four of them.

Posh (Victoria Beckham) has chosen to sit this one out as she wants to remain focused on her fashion career. Previously Beckham revealed that during her time in the Spice Girls, she didn't actually do a whole lot beyond dancing around on stage with her microphone off. So perhaps her absence might not affect the group too much. While it would have been great to have all the original 5 together, fans are just going have to settle for this substitute. Which if you ask me, is better than no reunion at all.

Geri ‘Ginger’ Halliwell, Emma ‘Baby’ Bunton, Melanie ‘Scary’ Brown, and Melanie ‘Sporty’ Chisholm will be reuniting for a special UK stadium tour in 2019. The four dropped the news in a humorous pre-recorded "breaking news" announcement on their new instagram @SpiceGirls, while sharing the news they will be joined by "very special guest" Jess Glynne.

The tour will see the group play six dates at stadiums in London, Manchester, Coventry, Sunderland, Edinburgh and Bristol. Watch the exciting announcement below.

The girls are back!

The Spice Girls originally formed in 1994 and took the world by storm enjoying several years dominating the charts until Geri left the group in 1998, leading to the group to inevitably break up for good in 2000. While they've reunited on the odd occasion for special appearances, the group has not toured in over a decade.

There is no word as of yet if they will be doing an international tour, so you better get those flights to the UK organised!
