While we still await that highly anticipated announcement that the Spice Girls are coming to Australia, we've got the news that 'Juice' singer Lizzo will be gracing us with her presence.
For several years, Lizzo (real name Melissa Viviane Jefferson) has been setting the world on fire with her infectious anthems and style, and now it seems that her long-awaited debut will soon be over, with the singer revealing that she plans to visit in January.
Lizzo kicked off her career back in 2012 as a member of The Chalice. Following with her debut album in 2013, Lizzobangers was an instant hit for many. April saw her release her third album, Cuz I Love You, which includes her highly acclaimed commercial hit 'Juice,' while cementing the fact that Lizzo is going to be around for some time to come.
Now the singer has let it slip on social media she'll be visiting Australian shores in January 2020. Chatting with Twitter user @WHITNEYHOUSTON (not the real Whitney) during an Instagram Live Session she was asked whether she had any plans for a potential Australian tour, and the answer was all kinds of positive.
"'I'll be in Australia in January, bitch, See you soon!" the singer answered in the video session, "It's not announced, but you just got the scoop."
Now if the idea of her Australian visit wasn't exciting enough, fans are now speculating of her potential inclusion on the Fomo festival lineup. Earlier this week it was announced that BROCKHAMPTON was the first act confirmed for the festival that will kick off in Brisbane January 4th, followed by Adelaide, Sydney, and Melbourne. While there's no confirmation as of yet, the timing of her visit makes her a strong contender for the festival. At this stage, we will just have to wait for an official announcement, but it already seems 2020 is looking to be a good year!
We'll keep you posted once we hear more!
