It would only be a matter of time before Disney took the craze of adapting their animated hits with live-action treatments too far, and it looks like that time has finally arrived. While Lilo & Stitch isn't even twenty tears old, it's now been confirmed that this is the latest Disney flick that will be getting a live-action remake.

If by chance you were living under a rock in 2002 when Lilo & Stitch came out, let us catch you up to date. The film tells the story of a young Hawaiian girl named Lilo who becomes friends with a tiny blue alien called Stitch. What follows is a beautiful story of what makes a family, and with all honesty, it should have been left there.

Yes, there were several direct-to-video sequels and a TV series, but the original film was perfect the way it was. Now it seems that both Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich who are currently working on the live-action remake of Aladdin will be producing the film.

Don't get me wrong I'm looking forward to some of the live-action remakes that Disney will be releasing in the coming years, but remaking something that isn't even 20 years old just doesn't sit well with me. Lilo & Stitch is adorable as a cartoon. I just don't think it's going to have the same effect with a live-action adaptation.

While there's currently no release date for the film, I wonder if this is finally the sign that Disney is going too far with its live-action remakes?
