The bonus to the current coronavirus pandemic is its dragged Sharon Strzelecki away from her netball court and onto Instagram.

Magda Szubanski has brought out her iconic Kath & Kim character to bring a bit of cheer during this time, joining some of Australia's healthcare professionals for a little quarantine dance session.

In a video posted to Instagram this morning, Szubanski appears in Sharon get-up for a boogie to a parody of Soft Cell's classic Tainted Love. The comedian changed the words to reflect the current health crisis while throwing in the occasional reference to medical equipment and improving the chorus to "COVID Bug."

Joining her in separately-filmed dance numbers were members of Footscray Hospital, Prahran East Medical Centre, Ambulance Victoria, and Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.

"Noice, strong, courageous," Szubanski wrote, "A special Sharon shout out to all our healthcare workers, on the frontline and behind the scenes."

If you're a healthcare worker and feel the need to dance and have that said dance featured alongside one of Australia's legends of comedy, film your own rendition and send it her way.

This is the wholesome hilarious distraction we need right now.

Can't wait to see what this grows into!
