Considering 2017's IT: Chapter One was a hit at the box office, it's really no surprise that the sequel would be adding some big Hollywood names to the cast.

Already Jessica Chastain has been cast as the adult version of Beverly Marsh, and now according to Variety, James McAvoy and Bill Hader are in negotiations to join The Losers Club.

According to sources, Hader is in talks to play Richie Tozier who was played by Finn Wolfhard in the first film, while McAvoy will lead the childhood friends against IT as Bill Denbrough, who was previously played by Jaeden Lieberher.

If we're going off looks, the pair could definitely pull off the adult counterparts. Chapter One followed the first half of Stephen King's novel of the same name, that told the story of a group of children terrorised by a demonic clown called Pennywise and are forced to face their own demons to defeat him. Chapter Two will follow the second half of the novel, where the characters return to their hometown as adults to confront Pennywise for one final time.

Bill Skarsgard will most likely be returning as Pennywise/ IT, and there's talk of the original generation of kids to come back for flashback sequences.

Director Andy Muschietti will be taking directing duties once more, and Gary Dauberman is writing the script. With IT: Chapter Two set to be released in September 2019, it's expected filming will begin in July, which means more casting news will be on its way very soon!
