It is the age of remakes, reboots, and revivals. As many of you know Disney is currently reimagining some of their classics with live-action adaptations. One such film is their 1998 animated feature Mulan. We were super excited to hear that Liu Yifei had been cast as Mulan and we now finally get our first look at the actress in the titular role. She's all kinds of fierce!

Couldn't have picked a better actress for the role if you ask us. Yifei will be joined by some pretty epic names including Donnie Yen, Gong Li, Jet Li, and Yoson An. In further casting news that dropped yesterday, it's been announced that Jimmy Wong and Doua Moua will star as Ling and Po.

For those familiar with the film, will know that the two were part of The Gang of Three who helped Mulan defeat the Huns. There's no word as of yet whether Yao (pictured bottom right above) will appear in this latest adaption. However, we've got our fingers crossed that he does. We absolutely adored the trio and the hilarity they brought to the screen.

Super stoked the studio didn't whitewash the characters either. We're still getting over the atrocity that was The Last Airbender! Lauren Hynek, Rick Jaffa, Elizabeth Martin, and Amanda Silver adapted the screenplay for the film, which is expected to be released March of 2020.
