Get your wands out and get ready to spellbound yet again. Warner Bros. just released the first trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
The trailer gives us our first proper look at the highly anticipated sequel written by Harry Potter creator, J.K. Rowling. David Yates, who not only directed the first Fantastic Beasts, but also the final four Harry Potter films, returns to the director's chair to continue the adventures of magizoologist Newt Scamander played by Eddie Redmayne.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, see Newt and his friends enlisting the help of a young and incredibly handsome Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) to track down Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) who seems to have escaped custody since the events of the last film and is amassing an army to rule over all non-magical beings.
While the Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them gave fans their first look at the American Wizarding World with a New York setting, the sequel sees the action moving to Paris for the most part as J.K. Rowling reveals another corner of her ever-expanding wizarding world.
While there are plans for each film in the franchise to take place in a different city, the trailer brings us back to a very familiar location, Hogwarts. What follows is a trailer full of fantastic beasts (of course), some familiar faces from the first film, and some serious Deathly Hallow connections that will have the hardcore Harry Potter fans geeking out.
