Today we were gifted with the first teaser trailer for Tim Burton's live-action reimagining of Disney's 1941 classic animation, Dumbo.

Being a Burton film, it's got his stylised and slightly dark trademark all over it and it looks pretty damn good. There's no denying the footage hits you right in the feels, paying true homage to its source material while adding a new level of emotional depth. As I said, it' got Burton all over it!

Colin Farrel plays the former circus star, Holt Farrier who returns to the big tent after coming home from war. Finding work with a struggling circus, he is left in charge of a newborn elephant who's oversized ears making him the laughing stock of the entire circus and its most prized possession. Those familiar with the story will know there's quite a bit of heartache and with Burton in the director's chair expect to have your heartstrings pulled at multiple times.

Check out the teaser below.

The film looks like it has a lot of potential and might very well be the one to make up for Burton's recent dissapointments. And let's be honest, there has been a few!

Dumbo is set to for release in March of 2019.
