What a week for Marvel, first they dropped the latest trailer for Captain Marvel, now they've dropped the first trailer for Avengers 4 which we now know will be titled Avengers: End Game.

While not much is shown in the trailer, it's safe to say things aren't looking great after Thanos (Josh Brolin) clicked his fingers and wiped out half of the population from existence in a cloud of ash. Things are actually looking all kinds of devastating.

The trailer opens with Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) floating through space with little hope of rescue. With his food and water finally run out, he records a final message for Pepper Potts genuinely believing he's about to die.

"Hey, Ms. Potts. If you find this recording, don't feel bad about this. Part of the journey is the end. Just for the record being adrift in space with zero promise of being rescued is more fun than it sounds. Food and water ran out four days ago. Oxygen will run out tomorrow morning. And that will be it. When I drift off, I will dream about you. It's always you."

While most of the trailer's runtime is dedicated to Captain America (Chris Evans) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), if you pay close enough attention the trailer reveals quite a bit more.

It's no surprise that straight up our surviving Avengers are feeling the devastating consequences of the events of Infinity War. We have our first glimpse of Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) and the revelation that he may no longer be going under the name of Hawkeye instead picking up the mantle of rogue assassin Ronin straight out of the Marvel comics.

We also see Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) scrolling through what appears to be the lives lost including Scott Lang aka Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) who is unknowingly caught in the Quantum Realm, Peter Parker (Tom Holland), and surprisingly Shuri (Letitia Wright) who many thought survived Thanos' decimating snap.

While Thanos might be enjoying his the peace and tranquility of farm life, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is looking pretty broken at the fact that he probably feels to blame for not stopping the Titan before he clicked his fingers. We also have a couple of shots of Nebula (Karen Gillan) lurking around Milano obviously mourning the loss of Gamora (Zoe Saldana). However, the biggest highlight comes in the closing seconds of the trailer with the arrival of Scott Lang.

Somehow he's found a way out of the Quantum Realm after finding himself trapped inside at the end of Ant-Man and the Wasp. But a closer look at the footage reveals that the van is the very same one used by Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne which held their recently designed Quantum Tunnel inside.

What makes this so important? Well, it pretty much confirms theories that the Avengers would be using Quantum energy in order to defeat the Thanos, even possibly going back in time to reverse the events of Infinity War.

While Avengers: Endgame trailer hasn't revealed too much, it's given us just enough to speculate into the new year until we get another trailer.
